    Gokarna Beach Trek Itinerary

    Day 1: Pick-up from Bangalore 

    • All the passengers have to meet our tour representative at the pick-up points mentioned below: 
    • At 7:00 pm from Karachi Bakery, Indiranagar
    • At 7:15 pm from Domlur Sky Walk, Domlur
    • At 8:30 pm from the Yeswantpur metro station
    • At 8:45 from People Tree Hospitals, Gorguntepalya
    • After picking up all the passengers from these locations, we will embark on this overnight journey in our non-air-conditioned vehicle with pushback seats.

    Day 2: Gokarna Beach Camping and Trekking 

    • In the morning, we will reach the trek’s base camp (Beleken Beach). 
    • Freshen up, have breakfast, and prepare for this thrilling and scenic beach trek. 
    • We will trek towards the Dolphin viewpoint, passing through a small forest. 
    • Then, from the dolphin’s viewpoint, we will trek along the coast to reach Paradise Beach. 
    • Have a self-sponsored lunch in between the trek and resume trekking to Half Moon Beach. 
    • From the Half-Moon Beach, we will head to the Om Beach. 8 km away from Gokarna’s main town. This beach is renowned for its unique “OM” shape, which resembles the religious Hindu symbol.
    • At Om Beach, you can enjoy a mesmerising sunset and then head towards the campsite by bus. 
    • After reaching at the campsite, we will enjoy a cosy bonfire (depending on weather conditions). 
    • Have dinner, followed by an overnight camp stay under the sky full of stars.

    Day 3: Exploring Honnavar and Departure 

    • Wake up by 7:30 am, have morning coffee, and take a morning stroll on the beach. 
    • Have breakfast at the campsite and check out from the camp to explore places in Honnavar and Murudeshwar. 
    • Visit the Murudeshwara Temple, from where you can also see the 2nd largest Lord Shiva statue, standing 123 feet tall. 
    • Have a self-sponsored lunch after visiting the temple. 
    • If time permits, you can also take a boat ride on the Honnavara backwaters. 
    • After this, we will leave for Bangalore.

    While the Gokarna beach trek difficulty level is easy, some sections may include walking steep ascents/descents and rocky paths. A beginner with good physical fitness can easily do the trek, but you need to be with a group and have an experienced trek guide. The overall trek experience is wonderful, and the breathtaking coastal views make all the moderate challenges worthwhile.     Camping and trekking in Gokarna are not possible during the monsoon season. The trail becomes slippery because of heavy rains, which increases the risk. The water level also increases during monsoon, and beach activities and water sports are temporarily restricted. While the landscapes turn lush green, the overall experience might be dangerous and less enjoyable.

    This beach trek starts from the Gokarna Main Beach, and we can easily reach here from Bangalore by road. Taking a bus from Bangalore to Gokarna is one of the most common ways. We provide non-AC buses with push-back seats from Bangalore to Gokarna and back to Bangalore for a safe and comfortable journey. Alternatively, those who choose without transport can either take a private/government transport bus or take a train to Gokarna Road or Ankola railway station and then hire a taxi to the trek’s starting point, approximately 10 to 20 km away. 

    The Gokarna beach trek route involves several scenic beaches. Some of the main beaches covered in the trek are Paradise Beach, Kudle Beach, Om Beach, Half Moon Beach, and Gokarna Main Beach. Each beach has its own uniqueness and vibe, from scheduled to spiritual and adventurous, and these beaches offer a proper coastal trekking experience. 

    A few restrictions may apply during the Gokarna Beach Trek and Camping. Trekkers need to be mindful of local customs and the environment during the trek. Do not litter and carry a reusable water bottle. Follow the instructions of your trek leader and ensure that your campsite is located in the designated area. Bonfires may be restricted in some areas due to environmental safety reasons.

    Yes, our gokarna trekking and camping packages include basic meals like 2 breakfasts and 1 dinner (both veg and non-veg). Any other meals, like evening snacks and lunches, are not included in the package. 

    Yes, you can indulge in water sports at Gokarna. You can enjoy activities like jet skiing, Banana Boat rides, and kayaking at Om Beach or Kudle Beach. However, our gokarna trekking and camping packages do not include these activities, and you’ll have to book them separately. The availability of these water sports depends on the sea conditions and the season you visit. 

    Policies

    Kudremukh is a perfect weekend trek. If you are bored with your city’s hustle-bustle life and want to spend some quality time with yourself and with your friends away from your city, there is no better place to go other than Kudremukh. You can go there any time of the year. You can do it in snow or no snow, rain or no rain. The place is open all year. The path from base camp to the top of Kudremukh is well-defined, safe, and structured. Anyone, instead it is a first-time trekker, or an experienced trekker is allowed here. If you plan your trip to Kudremukh, it is perfect, but do not forget to keep things following things in your mind:- 
      • Carry minimum weight.
      • The trek takes place through eco-friendly zones and does not encourage littering. 
      • Do not wander off on your own at any point during the trek. 
      • Alcohol and smoking are not allowed. 
      • The decision of the trek leader will be final and binding. 
      • Delays may occur due to weather conditions 
      • Go for a medical check-up before embarking on this trek. Any person with health conditions like Asthma etc. is advised not to go for this expedition. However, if they so decide, it is at their own risk. 
      • Please ensure that you are carrying personal medications. 
      • Please take care of your baggage. 
      • Carefully follow the instructions of the trek leader.
      • Don’t play loud music on the way up there and at the top. Many people do this trek to find peace. Use your headphones, instead of showing others your party-animal side. Let there be peace in the mountains.
    • Any cancellation made 60 days prior to the date of departure, would levy 20% of the total tour cost as cancellation charges.
    • Any cancellation made 30 days prior to the date of departure, would levy 30% of the total tour cost as cancellation charges.
    • Any cancellation made 15-30 days prior to the date of departure, would levy 50% of the total tour cost as cancellation charges.
    • Any cancellation made 0-15 days prior to the date of departure, would levy 100% of the total tour cost as cancellation charges.
    • Due to any restrictions such as sudden government policies or regulations, or unprecedented weather conditions, activities and tours may be nonoperational and be canceled.
    • In cases such as these, operators will attempt to cater to the traveler with an alternative that is feasible in nature. However, any refund would not be catered to.
    • Any refund applicable will be processed within 7 business days.
    • Carry minimum weight. It helps in walking faster in the mountains
    • Do not litter here and there. Keep your surroundings neat, clean, and green. Instead of throwing the waste around, keep it in your bag and take it back with you.
    • Alcohol and smoking are not allowed. You need to keep your body hydrated throughout the journey, so consumption of alcohol and any other kind of drinks and drugs is highly inadvisable.
    • The decision of the trek leader will be final and binding. 
    • Delays may occur due to weather conditions 
    • Any person with health conditions like Asthma, etc. is advised not to go for this expedition. However, if they so decide, it is at their own risk. Also, kindly consult your physician before you undertake this trek
    • Do not wander off on your own. Follow the instructions of your team leaders 
    • Please take care of your baggage. Lock your backpack with a small lock, instead of accusing others of the stolen items.
    • If you opt for a homestay, treat the hosts with respect and communicate with them comfortably!
    • Wear full sleeves and pants for this particular expedition, as the insects and forest leeches can get extremely active this time around.
    • Harm no animals and plants on the journey.
    • Always carry a water bottle and handy snacks in your backpack.
    • Always check the weather conditions before leaving for the trek.
    • Eat healthily and do not skip meals during the trek. 
    • Always carry a personal medical kit with you as cuts & bruises are very common during the trek. 
    • Do not carry expensive gadgets and pieces of jewelry.
